SwolfPy MCP
Use SwolfPy and Brightway for municipal-solid-waste LCA, uncertainty, scenarios, optimization, and mass-flow analysis through MCP.
Overview
SwolfPy MCP exposes municipal-solid-waste project setup, LCA, comparative analysis, Monte Carlo uncertainty, contribution analysis, mass flows, scenario changes, optimization, lifecycle recovery, and offline documentation to MCP clients.
Version 0.6.0 exposes 36 tools: 30 runtime and lifecycle tools plus six documentation and tutorial tools.
Runtime compatibility
Warning
Use Python 3.10 for the qualified full SwolfPy runtime. SwolfPy 1.4.0 pins SciPy 1.8.0, which supports Python versions below 3.11. Documentation-only imports on newer Python versions do not qualify the scientific runtime.
Project lifecycle
Project creation can use an operation_key so interrupted initialization can be inspected and, when safe, recovered. Keep the operation key with the project record when restart recovery matters.
Scientific boundary
The server does not independently validate waste composition, treatment assumptions, functional units, LCIA method choice, uncertainty distributions, optimization constraints, or the real-world feasibility of an optimized waste allocation.
